Adventure Oregon and Logic BMS are teaming up to launch a Community Youth Outreach Program in Klamath Falls — to honor Natalynn Miller, who was a victim of child abuse in 2009.
This program — professionally run by Troy Miller, Natalynn's father — aims to provide outdoor recreational activities to at-risk youth residing in Klamath County, Oregon.
How the Program Works
As a local business or community member, you can contribute to this noble cause by purchasing a youth activity for $30.
Adventure Oregon will match every $30 contribution to cover the cost of a three-hour guided kayak tour of the Upper Klamath National Wildlife Refuge for the participating youth.
Why Outdoor Recreation
We believe that introducing young people to outdoor recreational activities will help them develop healthy habits and interests — steering them away from self-destructive behavior.
Children who love to fish, kayak, and appreciate nature are less likely to engage in criminal activity and more likely to become positive contributors to their families and communities.
That's not just a hope — there's a growing body of research supporting outdoor-recreation programming as one of the most effective interventions for at-risk youth. It builds:
- Physical confidence and a sense of capability
- Mentor relationships with adults who care
- Connection to place — knowing and loving the basin you live in
- Healthy peer relationships built around shared activity instead of trouble
- Mental-health resilience through time in nature
A Memorial in Motion
Natalynn's story is one no parent should ever live through. But Troy and the team at Logic BMS and Adventure Oregon refuse to let her name be remembered only for what happened to her.
This program turns memory into action — into kayak paddles in young hands, into hours on Upper Klamath, into a generation of Klamath kids who got the chance to be on the water because someone made it possible.
How to Help
Contribute $30 (or any amount) toward youth activities. Every dollar is matched and translates directly to guided outdoor experiences for kids who need them.

In Closing
If you've ever benefited from time on the water, on the trail, or in the wilderness — pass that gift forward.
The Klamath Basin is one of the most beautiful places in Oregon to be a kid who gets to experience the outdoors. Help us make sure every Klamath kid gets that chance.
Thank you.
