An ad, as small as a fortune cookie message, in the Annals of General Surgery, was the initial spark that piqued the curiosity of a budding resident, Dr. Raul Mirande, and his wife, Karri, a certified nurse. They wondered what opportunities Klamath Falls could offer their young family as a potential home base. Little did they know that this tiny piece of paper was a prophecy of how their decision to plant roots here would enrich both their lives and the entire basin community after 27 years. Indeed, they made the community stronger, more prosperous, and happier. Thanks to the Mirande Family for sharing their story in the November 2022 edition of Klamath Living Magazine.
