FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- KLAMATH FALLS –Bottom of Form Klamath Community College (KCC) has announced the launch of its first ArtistinResidence (AIR) Program, a new initiative designed to support community building, professional growth, and creative engagement for artists, students, and the wider Klamath Basin community. The ArtistinResidence Program is open to artists of any medium who live in the Klamath Basin. The current Artist in Residence for 2026-27 is Jennifer Hill. Hill is a studio artist and traveling instructor based in Klamath Falls. She has called several interesting places home but was most artistically influenced living on the Garden Isle of Kauai, inspired by the luscious flora and textures of the sea. University studies led to teaching in colleges and art centers across the country for more than 20 years and exhibiting nationally and internationally. Highlights include the 2019 solo exhibit Cultivated on Dry Land in Georgetown, Texas and the 2023 Hokkaido International Exhibition, Sapporo Japan. Hill attended art residencies in places as diverse as Missoula, Montana and Rome, Italy, and served as an Art in Public Places panelist via the City of Austin. In Oregon she has taught workshops statewide including Mt. Hood Community College and Sitka Center for Art & Ecology on the Oregon Coast. An Opening Reception for Hill will be Wednesday, October 14, from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. in the KCC Conference Center. Hear Jennifer talk about her artistic process and learn more about art at KCC.
