KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — The City of Klamath Falls and Klamath County are inviting community members to a Community Open House on Monday, August 31, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Klamath County Government Center, Room 219, 305 Main Street. The open house is part of the Klamath Falls Housing Code Amendments Project, a joint effort by the City and County to update local housing codes to facilitate housing production, affordability, and choice. Jon Pheanis with MIG, the consulting firm working with the City of Klamath Falls and Klamath County, will discuss the project, including the Department of Land Conservation and Development grant supporting the code updates. The project will also explore options for improving housing availability, affordability, and choice within the City of Klamath Falls and the Urban Growth Boundary. Community members are encouraged to drop in anytime between 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. to learn more about local housing requirements, potential code changes, and options to improve housing choice in the area. The project team will be available to answer questions and gather community input.
