Date: July 17, 2026 Subject: Upham St. Emergency Repairs
On July 17, City of Klamath Falls Water Division crews will perform an emergency water main repair at the intersection of Upham Street and Oregon Avenue. To safely accommodate the work, traffic will be detoured north on Sergent Avenue to Donald Street, where motorists can reconnect with Oregon Avenue. Please refer to the attached map for the detour route and work location. The City anticipates completing the repair and reopening the roadway by 2:00 p.m. the same day. During the repair, the Oregon Avenue bike lane within the work zone will also be closed. Motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians are encouraged to use caution when traveling near the work area, follow posted traffic control devices, and allow extra travel time. The City appreciates the public's patience and cooperation while this necessary infrastructure repair is completed.
