Oregon Tech to Host Open House for New Timbers Residence Hall Nov. 7

WHAT: Oregon Tech invites members of the community to attend an open house on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 2-4 pm to celebrate the opening of The Timbers, the university's newest residence hall.
The Timbers is a new four-story, mass timber residence hall designed to enhance the student experience and expand on-campus living opportunities. The approximately 86,000-square-foot facility houses more than 500 students and showcases sustainable mass timber construction, helping to reduce the building's carbon footprint while creating a welcoming, community-focused living environment. The project is among the largest mass timber student housing developments in Oregon and reflects Oregon Tech's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and student success.
HOW: This event is free and open to the public. Visitors may park in campus lots, except Lot A. Limited short-term parking near The Timbers will be available for guests with mobility or accessibility needs. During the open house, visitors may tour the building's first and fourth floors, guided by Oregon Tech staff and students. Guests are welcome to arrive at any time during the event.
