How It Works

Applegate Preparatory Academy is an on-site academic center for grades K–8. The Academy offers à la carte courses designed specifically for families who want an alternative schooling option for their children. Families can easily tailor their children's education by selecting only the exact classes that best suit their needs.

Families can also opt to take all classes offered at a discounted rate for full enrollment.

The Format

  • Weekly in-class instruction — lessons run 60–90 minutes per week per course
  • Structured home assignments and curriculum to complete between sessions
  • Think of it as a "little university" for children — students experience subject-specialist teachers, peer learning, and academic structure without the all-day commitment of traditional school
