Crosspoint Christian School is handing its campus to the rest of Klamath Falls for two days this month. Warrior Weekend runs Friday and Saturday, September 25 and 26, at 5000 Hosanna Way, and the school has built the whole thing around one line: from field to finish line.
Friday night: the first alumni flag football game
It opens Friday at 6 p.m. on Crosspoint Field with the first alumni flag football game the school has held — and it is not only for Crosspoint alumni. Anyone who played for Triad School or Hosanna Christian, the two schools that became Crosspoint, is invited to suit up. So is anyone who would rather stand on the sideline with a plate of food.
Players are free and eat free; a spectator pass with a pulled pork meal is $10, and a pass on its own is $6. Marc Hawthorne is coordinating teams at 541-892-5206, and Megan Root is coordinating the alumni side of the evening at 541-281-8743.
Saturday morning: the Road Warriors Car Show
Saturday belongs to the cars. The Road Warriors Car Show runs 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is free to the community — raffles, a silent auction, food, and a lot full of classics parked along the field. Owners who want to show one can register a 1975-or-older vehicle for $25, and registering buys early access to the Finish Line auction and its bidding.
Saturday evening: Finish Line
The weekend closes Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. with Finish Line, the school's dinner and auction evening. Dinner is catered by Melissa's Country Kitchen with desserts from local bakers, and there is both a silent and a live auction. It is open to the public, and tickets need to be reserved by September 22. Crosspoint moved what used to be a spring auction dinner into the fall this year, so Finish Line and the car show now land on the same day.
The school behind it
Crosspoint is a preschool-through-12th-grade Christ-centered school on Hosanna Way in Klamath Falls, serving families from across Klamath County and northern California. It opened in the fall of 2021 after Triad School and Hosanna Christian — each more than thirty years old — closed so that a single new school could open on the Gatewood campus. Its teams and student groups carry the Warrior name, and Warrior Weekend is the weekend the school points them all at the community.
The line the school puts at the bottom of its own flyer says the rest of it: come for the fun, stay for the mission, support the next generation.
