My title of Wellness Director is an umbrella for helping our residents be centered on optimum mind, body, and spiritual activities.

I work with our staff to plan activities that increase social interaction with friends, family, and other residents — especially over a delicious meal. We encourage everyone to access our physical fitness and movement activities like aquacise and our Fit and Fun exercise classes.

A Whole-Person Approach

We also help our residents stay connected to spirituality and a sense of purpose, which is such an important aspect of aging well.

Our wellness programming includes:

  • Scrabble clubs
  • Bingo
  • Arts and crafts activities
  • A monthly book club — for mental acuity
  • Special tech support for residents who want to keep up with the latest technology to track scheduling or stay in touch with family members
  • Aquacise and Fit and Fun classes for physical activity
  • Spiritual programming for those who want to participate
  • Communal meals that prioritize social connection alongside nutrition

Why I Love This Work

Coordinating these activities at Crystal Terrace really brings me joy. I can't imagine a better job — and I look forward to coming to work every day.

The best part is seeing residents who weren't sure about an activity at first come back and say, "That was actually really fun — when's the next one?" That's the moment that makes this work worth doing.

Welcome Home

Crystal Terrace offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care — with spacious light-filled apartments, chef-prepared seasonal dining, breathtaking views, landscaped walking paths, and a wellness culture that prioritizes the whole resident, not just their medical chart.

If you or a loved one is considering a senior living community, come see why our residents call Crystal Terrace home.
