The Epicenter Family Entertainment Complex located in Klamath Falls is one of more than 1,500 bowling centers around the globe that provide two free games of bowling each day to kids during the Spring and Summer.
This program is designed by bowling centers to give back to the community and provide a safe, secure, and fun way for kids to spend time this summer.
A 16-Year Track Record
Since 2007, more than 35 million kids and families have participated in Kids Bowl Free.
That's a remarkable scale — well over a million Kids Bowl Free participants per year over the program's lifetime. The program works because it combines:
- Real value for families
- Smart business strategy for bowling centers (kids bring parents, who pay; kids learn the game and become league bowlers as they age)
- Community goodwill that bowling centers earn through the program

Why Klamath Families Should Use This
For Klamath Basin families with school-age kids during the long summer months, Kids Bowl Free is exactly the kind of program that solves real summer challenges:
1. Indoor activity for hot Klamath summer days
When it's 95°F outside, an air-conditioned bowling alley is exactly where you want to be.
2. Real fitness
A few games of bowling involves walking, lifting, throwing, and the kind of light cardio that beats sitting indoors watching screens.
3. Social interaction
Bowling with siblings, neighborhood friends, or new friends made at the center is the kind of low-pressure social time that summer days are made for.
4. Cognitive engagement
Score-keeping (when not using automatic scoring), aim, technique, strategic frame management — all are good mental engagement.
5. Family bonding
When the kids bowl free and adults pay a modest fee, the entire family can spend a couple hours together at the lanes for less than the cost of a single movie ticket.
Family Strategy
For maximum value from the program:
Pick a weekly bowling routine
Many families bowl every Wednesday afternoon, every Saturday morning, or another consistent slot — turning it into a summer ritual.
Bring snacks (and check what's allowed)
Bring water bottles. The Aftershock Grill & Bar at the Epicenter has full food service for hungrier moments.
Invest in a glove or shoes for serious players
If your kid is bowling 2 games × 3-4 days a week through the summer, a $25 entry-level bowling glove or shoes makes a real difference.
Move from rec bowling to leagues
After a summer of Kids Bowl Free, many kids are ready to join a youth bowling league in the fall — the next step in their bowling journey.
The Bigger Epicenter Picture
While Kids Bowl Free is the headline summer program, the Epicenter offers year-round family entertainment:

- The Faultline Arcade — games and prizes for all ages
- Adult and youth leagues — competitive options
- Birthday party packages — turnkey kid-party hosting
