The Epicenter Family Entertainment Complex in Klamath Falls recently played host to an exhilarating display of youthful talent and competitive spirit during the 2025 OSUSBC High School Championships.
This prestigious event, sanctioned by the Oregon State United States Bowling Congress (OSUSBC), brought together the cream of the crop from high school bowling teams across the state — showcasing their skills and sportsmanship over an action-packed weekend.
The Weekend
From February 21–23, 2025, the lanes at the Epicenter buzzed with excitement as young bowlers, their families, and coaches converged for this annual celebration of high school bowling.
The tournament not only highlighted the growing popularity of the sport among youth but also underscored its significance in fostering teamwork, discipline, and personal achievement at the high-school level.
Results
1st place: Westview High School — claimed the championship trophy with consistent, high-pressure performances across the weekend.
2nd place: A strong runner-up performance — the team proved their mettle by securing second.
3rd place: North Bend
4th place: Dallas
The statewide spread of the finishing teams — Westview from the Portland metro, North Bend on the South Coast, Dallas from the Willamette Valley — highlights how broadly the sport is growing across Oregon's high schools.
Notable Moments
Henley High School, last year's runner-up, made a valiant effort but couldn't replicate their previous success — bowing out earlier than expected. A heartbreaker for the Henley faithful, who had hoped for a deeper run on home-region lanes.
Mazama High School, the hometown favorites from Klamath Falls, enjoyed enthusiastic support from local fans but fell short of reaching the championship round.
Both teams represented Klamath County with pride — and the kind of competitive depth that says good things about the state of bowling in our schools.
Community Impact and Economic Boost
Beyond the lanes, the 2025 OSUSBC High School Championships proved to be a significant boon for Klamath Falls.
The influx of teams, families, and supporters provided a welcome shot in the arm to local businesses — hotels, restaurants, gas stations, retail — across the long weekend. Tournaments of this scale draw a kind of guaranteed traveling visitor that Klamath Falls works hard to attract.
A Win for the Sport
Beyond the trophies and the placing, the bigger story of the 2025 OSUSBC championships is what the event represented: high school bowling is growing, the talent base is broad across Oregon, and Klamath Falls — through the Epicenter's lane capacity and the tournament's hosting team — has established itself as a credible venue for high-level youth bowling.
Congratulations
Congratulations to Westview High School and all the participating teams for making this year's championship a resounding success.
To the Henley and Mazama bowlers — your community is proud of you. See you on the lanes next year.
