Klamath Living wants to extend its warmest thanks to Kingsley Field for hosting the Wings and Eagle Airshow — bringing our community together in celebration of aviation, service, and local pride.
What the Airshow Meant
For Klamath Falls, Kingsley Field is more than a military installation. It's neighbors. It's parents picking up kids at the same schools, families at the same restaurants, the same youth-sports sidelines. The 173rd Fighter Wing is woven into the daily life of the basin in a way most communities never get to experience with a military base.
The Wings and Eagle Airshow opened the gates and invited the rest of us in — to see what the airmen do, what the aircraft can do, and what generations of military service look like up close.
To the Airmen, Crews, and Families
Putting on an airshow of that scale takes months of planning, hundreds of crew hours, and a logistical effort the public never fully sees. From flight operations to ground safety, hospitality, security, vendor coordination, and the thousand small details that make a day like this feel effortless from the outside — every airman, civilian employee, and volunteer who put time into it made it possible.
