Southern Oregon Acro and Tumbling is a vibrant addition to the Klamath County community, offering group and individualized classes in tumbling, acro dance, and recreational gymnastics. Officially operating since November 1, 2023, the gym was founded to fill a real gap in local activities for children — a safe, fun, engaging environment where kids develop physical skills and confidence at the same time.

A Passion Turned Purpose

Coach Caitlynn McCain — known as Coach Caitie — brings years of personal experience and passion to the gym. A former competitive gymnast of seven years and a competitive dancer, Caitlynn's journey into coaching began early and quickly blossomed into a dream of owning her own facility.

Inspired by her daughter Ruby — whose name even inspired the gym's logo — Caitlynn opened Southern Oregon Acro and Tumbling to share her love of gymnastics, dance, and tumbling with the community's youth.

Classes for Every Age

The gym offers a layered program that meets kids where they are:

  • Classes for ages 2 and up — Toddler through teen
  • Private lessons for personalized skill-building
  • Acro dance — the dance/gymnastics hybrid
  • Recreational gymnastics with progression-based skill tracks
  • Obstacle-course learning — a signature methodology that makes practice feel like play

Community Impact and Future Plans

Southern Oregon Acro and Tumbling is more than just a gym — it's a community hub where children make friends, hit personal milestones, and feel uplifted by coaches and classmates alike. Looking ahead, the gym aims to expand its offerings to include adult tumbling, ninja-warrior-style classes, and parkour — continually seeking new ways to engage and inspire physical activity for all ages.

A Message to the Community

"We believe in safety first," Caitlynn shares. "Our obstacle-course-based learning provides a fun and exciting way to learn and practice skills."

That philosophy is the foundation: every child who walks through the doors experiences a nurturing environment designed to foster growth, fun, and a lifelong love of movement.

For families seeking a dynamic and supportive place for their children to explore gymnastics, dance, and tumbling, Southern Oregon Acro and Tumbling has built something Klamath County didn't have before — and it's only growing.
