Margie Bocchi is a remarkable 91-year-old woman who radiates warmth, kindness, and grace. She is a loving mother of nine children and adores her 38 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Margie moved to Klamath from Texas at the age of 17 and soon met the love of her life, Leo J. Bocchi. Leo was a hardworking and ambitious man who built a successful business empire, including the Pepsi Cola and Dr. Pepper franchises in Oregon and California. Margie credits the Catholic Church as a foundational part of her life and cherishes the memories of raising a large, loving family. Despite the tragic loss of her husband in 1989, Margie continues to cherish her family and the Klamath community. Her simple rules for fostering rewarding relationships are honesty, attending church together, and instilling a strong work ethic. Margie is grateful for her children, their spouses, and the happiness they find in their lives.
Thanks to the Bocchi Family for sharing their story in the May 2023 edition of Klamath Living Magazine.
